Louisville Mayoral Candidate Craig Greenberg was targeted in a shooting on Monday, according to the Louisville police.
A suspect walked in the Greenberg’s campaign office and opened fire and was able to strike the candidate’s clothing, according to CBS News.
Political reporter Rachel Droze tweeted that the candidate was “grazed in the arm”.
The suspect was detained outside of the campaign headquarters by responding officers.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
CBS News spoke to the Louisville Metro Council President who considered the attack to be an attempted assassination.
Greenberg tweeted that everyone was safe and that he will be providing further updates.
