US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin have reached a “deal in principle” to have a summit, according to France.
The deal has been negotiated by French President Emmaual Macron.
Macron says he proposed the summit to “discuss security and strategic stability in Europe”.
Both leaders have accepted the summit “in principle”.
World leaders are hopeful the summit should deescalate the rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
