Senator Mitch McConnell appeared to have a potentially serious medical incident on Wednesday during a press conference when he suddenly froze up while speaking.

He then had to be abruptly lead away by aides.

McConnell, 81, returned after several minutes, and after the news conference was over, was asked by reporters to address what had taken place.
