Two American journalists on assignment filming refugees leaving Irpin in Ukraine have been shot and 1 is dead.
Initial reports indicated that the journalist was working for the New York Times, but the times has since released a statement indicating that while the journalist, Brent Renaud, has worked for the NYTs he was not on assignment for the paper this time.
The other American journalist appears to be doing better and is getting treatment per the Tweet below.
