Updated 5:05 PM Eastern, Wed. July 12th 2022 to reflect the White House’s response.
Biden, while delivering a speech on climate change in Boston, announced he has cancer.
While during his speech, Biden said his mother had to use windshield wipers to “get literally the oil slick off the window” that is “why I and so damn many other people have cancer.”
However, some reporters from the mainstream media have stepped up to defend the statement.
Biden had non-melanoma skin cancer removed from his skin before becoming President. However, that type of skin cancer is caused by sun exposure, not oil exposure.
The White House responded to the New York Post regarding Biden’s statement:
White House spokesman Andrew Bates referred The Post to a tweet from Washington Post columnist Glenn Kessler, who noted that Biden had “non-melanoma skin cancers” removed before he took office.
It’s unclear why Biden chose to use the present verb tense to describe his experience with cancer.
“He said ‘I have cancer’ in the present tense you absolute dips–t,” Greg Price of XStrategies LLC tweeted in response to Kessler.
Anarchist author Michael Malice, meanwhile, joked, “Don’t worry about Joe Biden having cancer, he is married to a doctor” — referring to the fact that first lady Jill Biden uses the honorific “Dr.” to note her 2007 doctorate in education.
This announcement comes on the heels of one of Hillary Clinton’s former advisors revealing what she plans to to in 2024 (READ IT HERE).
